Even though Fernwood sits on 100 acres, the simple layout makes navigation easy for even the new youngest campers.

Contained within our campus are all of our activity areas, wonderful airy and spacious bunks, nature trails, a campfire circle tucked in the woods, open meadows and fields for gathering and playing, and an on-campus 15-stall equestrian facility complete with 2 oversized riding arenas, Olympic class archery range, six tennis courts, a rock climbing facility, arts areas, a gymnastic  pavilion, a full stage, a dance area, a dark room, and that’s only about half of it.

The closeness of the large, over-sized bunks to the activity areas is one of many reasons Fernwood is so special.

Rarely do our girls ever walk somewhere on their own, because it so easy to walk with friends.  There is always someone going your direction.

The rich history and culture of Fernwood continue to be important to today’s campers.  We live it every day in so much of what we do.  While no day is like any other, knowing that girls since 1921 have lived in the same buildings, sung the same songs and trod on the same paths is a source of great pride for our girls.

We invite you to come take a tour and see for yourself!
