Lake Thompson is one of our favorite places at camp – almost half a MILE of shore frontage with a huge sandy beach welcome you as you approach our Camp Fernwood waterfront area. Because of its pristine water quality, Lake Thompson is rated as one of the best 10 bodies of water in all of Maine.
Lake T is huge! It is 12 miles long, 2 miles wide and 26 miles around. We are happy that It is also home to over a dozen native Maine loons.
Have you ever heard of Poland Spring water? Well, the actual Poland Spring is right here in Poland, ME. We are on the same underground aquifer as Poland Spring water. We drink it every day right out of the tap and we don’t even need a plastic bottle.
